GOOD FOR THE PLANET TOO...
LOWER CARBON FOOTPRINT
Carob trees capture 3 times more CO2 than other woody crops. We use all compounds of the fruit even the byproducts. And both syrup and fiber are processed with renewable energy.
RESISTANT ANCIENT CROPS
The carob tree species is native to the Mediterranean. It is known for its pest-resistance and does not need fertilizers. This is why carob is ideally suited for organic cultivation.
COMBAT DESERTIFICATION
Carob trees can survive long periods of drought without irrigation. They need only half the water requirements (500-550 mm of rainfall per year).
LESS WATER USAGE
The trees are able to bear fruit in dry locations and are resistant to eroded soils and fires. So they provide solutions to reforest damaged lands.
